Report on Meeting on March 18 with members of task force on SF and Duplex Development

About thirty people, including residents of Brentwood, Rosedale, and Allandale, plus Brykerwoods, North Loop, Oakmont Heights, and Ridgelea attended the session Saturday from 1pm at Yarborough branch library on single family and duplex development. Chris Allen with Danette Chimenti and Noah Kennedy, all members of the city council task force currently meeting on this subject, were there to field questions.

There was good dialogue, both with task force members, and between those in the audience. It got particularly lively when a Brentwood resident criticized a new 30’ high duplex on Justin lane, just west of Arroyo Seco, and the builder of that duplex, who was also at the meeting, took issue with that critique.

Allandale residents at the forum included Frances Allen, Phyllis Brinkley, Anne Bruno, Grace Garcia, Jerre Heaton, Allan McMurtry, Eldon Rude, and John Keohane..

Though announced as being from 1-2pm, we actually went from 1-2:30, which was as long as we had the room. Conversations continued outside the library till after 3.
