I like colors A or D. I like spillway texture B or C. And, I like Wall texture C.

Cement color: D
Spillway texture: D
Wall texture C

Glad the city is listening!

All of the colors are lovely but how about some ivy or greenery? I doubt that taggers would be very successful with plants!Let's plant trees not get rid of them.

[Ed note: Glad to see other neighbors are interested Allandale Trees. Anyone interested in helping develop our neighborhood treescape drop me an email at linneakay (at) Yahoo (dot) com.

Some trees do need to be removed because their root system creates instability in the berm, hastening deterioration of the facility and reducing its effectiveness. The City of Austin Arborist is actively working with us, and the project team to carefully select and plan which trees will be removed, and where they can be added.

Planting new trees, their location etc. is still part of the discussion. If you are interested in this topic, and are willing to take on some minor volunteer duties... your contribution will be welcomed with open arms! (contact me at the email address listed above.)

It takes a very small time commitment to yield huge rewards for the neighborhood. For example: 3 volunteers each spent 30 minutes tagging crepe myrtles along Great Northern... those tags saved them from the chopping block this spring. Ecce Signum!]

Of the choices, I prefer:

Cement color - C or E
Wall Stamp - A
Spillway stamp - C

Want a bench area - Yes

However, I strongly agree with the suggestions for greenery. Or, I wouldn't mind sponsoring one or more murals for the wall/spillway -- let's put those spray cans to real artistic use!

[ed. note: Anyone interested in funding murals or art projects for the area contact me via email linneakay (at) yahoo (dot) com.
