Tom Linehan (for Treasurer Joe Reynolds) made the Treasuer’s report
Current Balance is $16,588
Income for the month of September was $ 4,330
Expenses for the moth of September was $ 4,657
Attorney $ 2,000
Other $ 2,657
The Treasurer’s Report did not reflect any income from the
Newsletter
A question was raised about donations from North Shoal Creek

The check had a stop payment issued on it
Current status was unknown
Mr. Linehan noted that Crestview still intended to give us
money and that Brentwood NA had given us $100.

The Budget was presented by Tom Linehan as prepared by Joe
Reynolds
The first discussion was Income and Expenses, it being noted
that the Budget was a general guideline.
Allan McMurtry moved “The budget be approved in general with
items 1) Web Date, 2) Operations, less D&O Insurance, and 3) Newsletter
approved outright on a not to exceed basis.” (Budget Document Attached.htm)

Presentation by the Austin Fire Department Historical
Society—Pres—Jerry Cohen, attending Brent Sjolseth, Mark Gustafson
Discussed as Restoration/Modification of the old “big Red”
fire truck that used to be used in Allandale parades
Target completion date of July 4, 2008 by Mark Gustafson
using donated labor
They discussed:
Naming it “Allandale 1”
Using it for funerals
Giving Allandale preferential treatment for its use
Giving it free to Allandale on July 4th every year
Asked how we can help, they noted they needed money to kick
off the fund raiser
Allan McMurtry moved that “Allandale pledge $500 to the FD
Historical Society for this purpose to be paid within 60 days and $500 more to
be paid within 60 days after that.”

Work would start in Jan/Feb 2008 and take 9 months
Be mostly on Oakmont, Finley, and Bull Creek—6” and 8” lines
Noted that some large lines still remain in Shoal Creek

MoNac President Kay Newell introduced the Engineers for the
MoPac noise reduction program: Mark
Herbert, Pat Owen, Carlos Wanke (sp)
There would be improvements along MoPac from Ceasar Chavez
to Parmer
Looking to start in 2010
Would add a managed lane to MoPac—tolled except for buses
and multiple occupants
Much discussion about the lanes, intersections, pavement
type, speed limits, and noise

Linnea Anderson, Beautification Committee Chair, reported on
current efforts
Target of 140 hours of volunteer hours, currently have had
98 hours volunteered.
Nov 10—cleanup of southern part of Great Northern
Dec 1—Candy cane clinic on how to build and maintain big
candy canes
Paulette Kern, Zoning Chair, reported on current upcoming
issues:
A November 6th hearing on
Case is C14-2007-0188
Allan McMurtry moved “The ANA EC strongly opposes the zoning
case C14-2007-0188 and strongly endorses maintaining SF-2 Zoning at this
location.”
The motion was second in unison by ever EC member present
Motion was approved.
The meeting adjourned without completing the Agenda as the Library was closing down. No motion was made to adjourn and was adjourned by fiat.
