Northcross on City Council's Agenda
Northcross redevelopment on December 14th City Council agenda. More info on the Responsible Growth for Northcross website. There is also a story in today's Austin American-Statesman regarding the agenda item, "Wal-Mart plan now going under council microscope." At the meeting City staff will review the approval process for the development. You can read the Assistant City Manager's memo to council regarding the site development summary here.

There is a BIG rally @ City Hall tomorrow 12/14 @ noon. Wear red (for all you fashion mavens) and bring your yard sign or make one to protest Wal-Mart moving into our neighborhoods. There is Free parking in the garage below city hall.Be there or be square!

I read the TIA review attached to the Site Development Summary (the link to which is provided above). I find it strange that the review did not consider the impact on the intersections of Foster and Rockwood or Foster and Shoal Creek Blvd. Does anyone know why these intersections are not given the same consideration as, say, the intersection of Richcreek and Burnet? They're just as close, or closer to, the Mall (See Table 5).
