MOVIE REVIEW: LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN

Lucky Number Slevin, from its dyslexic title to its film
noir pretensions to its flashback/switchback plot sequence, is designed to
distract the audience from the disappointing realities of the film. For all its
star-studded cast and arty camera work, the film is a bag of well-worn tricks,
used far more effectively in other movies by the likes of Quentin Tarantino and
